Partners in France and Luxembourg already shared, before the implementation of the AquaFil Project, a set of pedagogical tools that they had jointly developed. These various tools were gathered together in a package with games and other pedagogical elements, called the “malle pédag’eau” (“water pedagogy package”). They wished, through AquaFil, to transfer these tools to their Romanian and Bulgarian partners.

To do this, a true adaptation of the tools was conducted to take into account local contexts. In Sliven as well as in Alba Iulia, working groups were created, comprising voluntary teachers and school leaders, under the coordination of the coordinator of the relevant Water Centre and local pedagogical partners in Redange and Val d’Adour.

These working groups adapted pedagogical tools by keeping principles and methods developed by partners from France and Luxembourg, and translating specificities of countries and territories the transfer was taking place in. Innovations were also added by local participants working on the project.

To make the adaptation and use of the tools possible, trainings were conducted for relevant pedagogy experts, teachers, and associations’ leaders. 44 persons were trained by relevant partners in Luxembourg and France (“Soleil” association, Oeko-Fonds Fundation): 25 Romanians and 19 Bulgarians.
