The partnership of the AquaFil Project is organised as a cooperation between four main partners, from four different countries: Two from the European Union (France and Luxembourg), and two from accessing countries (Romania and Bulgaria).

This is a partnership between public bodies, working on the development of their territories, and for some of them, on the sanitation of water, drinking-water supply, and/or river management.

The main partners of the AquaFil Project are listed below:

- SEMADOUR (France), Local Development Agency, with a public status that is specific to France

- The Municipality of Redange (Luxembourg)

- The Municipality of Alba Iulia (Romania)
