General information
  AquaFil 2000-2002 (Programme Ecos-Ouverture)
Purpose of the project: Integrated and territorial approach of water-related issues

The AquaFil Project has focused on various water-related issues: Maintenance of rivers, quality of drinking-water, conservation of wetlands, environmental pedagogy.

The project deals with these themes when they can be treated through an integrated approach and when such an approach is required on the territories of main partners.

The AquaFil Project is therefore included within an approach of integrated territorial development, highlighting cooperation among various categories of local water-related participants, instead of sector-oriented troubleshooting.

In a field where interests are often concurrent, this approach tends to create links between participants with different methods and visions, focusing on a common asset: Water.

Some water-related issues were tackled in priority depending on one or the other partner territory. Issues have been selected according to the stakes relevant to each territory.
